SDE-1 @ SwishX
I build Go and Java services for a pharma distribution platform. Most of my work is on the latency path: running calls concurrently, batching queries, and cancelling cleanly.

The performance side is what I enjoy most — goroutine fan-out, context cancellation, and knowing when a problem genuinely needs concurrency versus a better data model.
I'm a final-year Computer Science student at SRM University AP, currently an SDE-1 at SwishX in Bengaluru, where I build backend services for a pharma distribution platform. Much of my work is making requests that touch several services return fast — running independent calls concurrently so a response costs the slowest one instead of the sum of all of them, batching what would otherwise be hundreds of round trips, and making sure that when a request is cancelled, the work still in flight gets torn down with it.
I built a 6-level sales hierarchy engine on recursive PostgreSQL CTEs, automated an MOQ-based cashback flow that replaced a manual points-grant process across 90 schemes and 568 rules, and shipped a CMS backend in Go delivering 20+ REST APIs with Redis caching and S3 storage.
On the side: a RAG-based Git analyzer that answers questions about a repo's commit history, an AI resume builder, and a roommate-finding app. Oracle Certified Professional for Java SE 17, and an open-source contributor. Away from the screen I volunteer with NSS — blood donation camps and beach clean-ups, mostly.

Grouped by where it sits in the system rather than by how well I know it — the backend column is where I spend most of my time.

Mostly Spring Boot services with a React surface on top. Each one solved a problem I actually had.

A RAG-based repository insight engine giving contextual answers on code evolution, commit patterns and development trends. Semantic search, Q&A and summarisation over 1,000+ commits, with dependency graphs and contribution heatmaps.

Full-stack app generating personalised resumes from 5+ templates, with JWT/OAuth2 auth, real-time editing and PDF export — cutting resume creation time by 80%.

A reliable plant disease detection system to help farmers identify issues, manage pesticides, and improve crop yield sustainably.

A Spring Boot application that extracts multiple-choice questions from screenshots and provides AI-generated answers using Google's Gemini AI.

Roommate-finding platform with search, property listings and interactive map visualisation. Optimised Firestore queries and Zustand state management improved data retrieval by 40%.

News WebApp delivering the latest headlines from top newspapers in India and the USA, covering leading sources for real-time updates.
The pattern I reach for most at work. A request that needs data from several services used to run them one after another, so the response cost the total of every call. Fanning them out as goroutines and joining the results means it now costs only the slowest one — and a single cancelled request tears the whole tree down with it.
//errgroup: the first error cancels the siblings, so nothing waits on a result that is already useless
//ctx cancellation propagates -- a dropped request leaves no orphaned goroutines running
//Batched reads collapse hundreds of round trips into a handful
